Question: Assalam aleykum

Yoni Egg, Jade Egg, or Love Egg are names for a semiprecious stone carved into an egg shape and polished to be worn inside the vagina. It is worn for hours. Would it be allowed?

Answer: assalamu alaykum

The basis is that this would be severely disliked as it outwardly resembles masturbation. Inserting a foreign object in this way into one’s private parts would only be permitted when there is a genuine need to do so, such as a medical reason.

As for Jade/Yani/Love eggs, there is little evidence that they actually have any medical benefits, and some gynecologists have actually cautioned against its use. It is said that these eggs have been used to tone, strengthen, and tighten the pelvic floor and vaginal muscles and also leads to increased sexual pleasure. Even if true, one may utilize other means to attain these benefits that do not necessarily involve inserting something into the private area for elongated periods of times.

Yes, if an expert and upright doctor advises such a practice for a given individual due to their unique circumstances, a case for permissibility can be made. However, in the absence of such advise, the general rule will remain that it would not be permissible to engage in this practice.
