Part One:  On Faith & Worship (Hadiths 1-10)

[1] Knowledge

Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever pursues a path seeking knowledge therein, Allah facilitates for them [through it] a path to Paradise.” [Muslim]

[2] Beliefs

al-Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) relates that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, “Whoever is content with Allah as their Lord, with Islam as their religion, and with Muhammad as their Messenger has indeed tasted the sweetness of faith.” [Muslim]

[3] Purification

Abu Malik al-Ash`ari (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Purification is half of faith.” [Muslim]

[4] Prayer

Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Prayer is the best of matters.” [Ahmad, Ibn Hibban, al-Hakim, and others]

[5] Zakat

Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “No wealth diminishes through charity.” [Muslim]

[6] Fasting

Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Allah Most High says, “Fasting is for Me, and I reward for it.”

[7] Hajj

Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The righteous Hajj has no reward but Paradise.”

[8] Qur’an

Anas (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The people of Qur’an are the people of Allah and His most chosen.” [Ahmad]

[9] Remembrance & Supplication

Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Allah Mighty & Majestic says, “I am with My servant when they remember Me and their lips move by Me.” [Ahmad, Ibn Maja, Ibn Hibban, and others]

[10] Religious Routines

A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Take from actions that which you can sustain, for–by Allah!–Allah doesn’t tire until you tire.” Then A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) commented that the most beloved of religious practice to him was one consistently sustained by a person.” [Muslim]
