heroes and heroines of Islam

Poem: SeekersRetreat 2012 New Zealand Reflections

Isn’t it better to be untied and to work together?

smile with sincerity and greet each other,

I revive my senses turning to the Al-Mighty God.

With every tear drop it washes your doubts, hate and pride,

There’s a lesson to ponder and reflect that we must see,

the Retreat is definitely not a depressing place to be,

Organic food that makes your tummy rumble

But it’s Good for us internally not like apple crumble,

Carrot cakes that makes a sheikh look twice,

Oud that looks and smells really nice,

Wishing Zuber and Zubaida to have a happy ending,

Qasaid’s at the bonfire (Don’t have a word that rhymes with ending,)

I no longer wonder dazed in the mists

no anger, no hatred no hands closed into fists,

Because Lost souls are intertwined tonight,

Blessed with an Islamic insight
