Over the last few days we’ve had a beautiful series of meetings here in Amman with key members of our SeekersHub Global team. And we’d like to share with you some important updates.
Firstly as you know in Ramadan we announced the SeekersHub Global Islamic Seminary. Over the last week the academy director Doctor Padela, Shaykh Hamza Karamali who is our academic affairs and myself, have finalised the Seeker Steps curriculum, which is integral to our Islamic Seminary project. We are now ready to announce the five steps of the steps curriculum. And we will have step one fully ready as delivered courses by the end of the year. Step two, half the courses are now in place; the other half will be ready and delivered by next Ramadan.
We have charted out the next courses and are ready to begin preparing them. This is a major step so that students can begin with their foundational Islamic learning and then build their understanding towards Islamic scholarship stage by stage, with clearly defined learning outcomes, offered completely free to any seeker of Islamic knowledge anywhere in the world, taught by qualified, capable, trained Islamic scholars. This is a major step.
Announcing New Teachers
We also have expanded our team of teachers to be able to deliver on our vision of a Global Islamic Seminary. In Ramadan we onboarded Shaykh Walead Mosaad, a very capable scholar, Shaykh Riad Saloojee from Canada, former director of CAIR Canada, who spent 10 years studying in Cape Town, and is now part of the SeekersHub Global teaching team, Shaykh Abdurragmaan from South Africa will be teaching the Hadith sciences, and other scholars.
We are also ready now to round out our Arabic sciences curriculum. Each term we’ll be offering two to four new Arabic sciences courses, both for those completing their studies of Arabic, so they can learn the Arabic sciences, which are the tools to Islamic learning, but also for students of Islamic knowledge to deepen their understanding of Arabic so they can deepen their connection with the Quran, with the Sunna and Islamic sciences, studying with one of the world’s top masters of Arabic and Quran, Shaykh Ali Hani. And all of this is being facilitated completely free by your support.
Having a global Islamic seminary is not just an aspiration. We are taking the steps towards it.
In the next two weeks you will see the announcement for the steps curriculum. All of this, let me reiterate, is taught by qualified scholars and offered completely free. It already has a global reach, but it will reach many more seekers across the globe. We are supporting tens of scholars and students of knowledge through the Islamic Scholars Fund, which is integral to this so we can free up scholars to be teaching, we can facilitate the path of learning for the best and most dedicated students of Islamic knowledge, so that they can become future scholars. While in Amman, we have onboarded a student of Islamic knowledge from southern India who is very keen to pursue the path of Islamic knowledge and has demonstrated some very serious progress in his studies but now we are supporting him so that he is able to complete his journey as a student of knowledge.
Help Expand Our Reach
All of this transformative impact that can have a global impact to better the state of the Muslim community, to raise the banner of the prophetic way, to spread the light of prophetic guidance, the beauty of prophetic guidance, all of this, offered completely free, is possible through your support. This is where we would like to ask you to support the SeekersHub Global Islamic Seminary project generously. Right now SeekersHub is operating on a $54,000 a month budget, which is a miracle. That’s how much a local Islamic centre runs on. But this project has a global reach and impact. We need $75,000 of monthly budget to sustain our operations at an impactful level. And we need to get to this by the end of the year.
