Length: 12 weeks
Are you concerned about your children? It’s never been more difficult to raise righteous, faithful Muslim children than it is today. From the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunna, and the insights of great scholars of Islam, Shaykh Faraz Rabbani and Ustadha Shireen Ahmed will give you the spiritual guidance and practical tools you need to raise pious children.
Children shape the next generation; therefore, raising them as believers is one of the most noble and important tasks a Muslim can blessed with. Imparting children with God consciousness, sound values, and proper manners is a trust from Allah, and therefore should not be taken lightly.
This course will offer parents and guardians parenting advice based on the Book and the Prophetic example. It is based on two unique texts: Manzumat Riyadat al-Sibyan (A Treatise on Raising Children), a classical poem on parenting written 500 years ago by one of the leading authorities of the Shafi’ī School, Imam Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Ramli who was in the tenth century after Hijra, and its commentary Simt al-’Uqyan (A Thread of Pure Gold) authored by the Yemeni scholar Shaykh ‘Abdullah ibn Ahmad Ba Sawdan of the 13th century AH.
Sh. Faraz Rabbani and Ust. Shireen Ahmed — a husband and wife with three children of their own — bring these two classical texts to life by explaining their wisdom in light of modern day realities. This course is a must for all parents concerned with raising their children in accordance with Prophetic guidance and inculcating them with proper Islamic manners and ethics.
The students of this course will learn how to:
- Inculcate Islamic manners and the Prophetic character in their children
- Provide children with sound Islamic education
- Raise a spiritual child who loves Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him)
- Protect one’s children from negative influences, and

Alhamdullilah, the recordings were clear and I was able to download the lessons and listen to them at my leisure which allows a refresh of the material in the coming months. I was unable to make the live sessions due to illness, alhamdullilah, but I felt that I received so much valuable information in the recorded lessons that I didn’t miss out at all.”
