How can we achieve unity when we are different? In a time where we find many plots of divisiveness, how can we appreciate diversity? In this timely and important talk, Shaykh Faraz Rabbani gives some key principles on how to deal with differences and how to find unity in diversity.
These principles apply to dealing with differences both in the broader society as well as in our closer circles. In broader society we learn how to apply these principles apply in differences of opinion; sectarianism; dealing with non-Muslims; dealing with those who oppose or attack us. In our closer circles we learn how to apply these principles in dealing with differences in relationships, family, friends, and community.
Shaykh Faraz highlights the theme unity found in the Quran and the Sunna of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He also sheds light on the wisdom behind there being differences between people. Finally, Shaykh Faraz stresses on how the Quran calls us to deal with all of humanity on the basis of love and mercy.
