08 – Khubayb bin ‘Adi – Who was Crucified for His Faith

This episode is about a true warrior in Islam, the companion Khubayb bin ‘Adi (may Allah be pleased with him). He was of the first of the people to accept Islam after the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) migrated from Makka to Madina. He was of those who participated in the battle of Badr without hesitation. After the battle of Badr he was captured and tortured and mocked because of his faith. He was the first of the arabs to be crucified. Prior to his death he was allowed to pray. His compliant to Allah in his last prayers was that he was in complete need of him, and that death was preferred to turning away from faith. Khubayb was the first person to be crucified in Islam.
