09 – Suhayb ibn Sinan – Caretaker of the Poor

In this episode Shaykh Sadullah presents the story of Suhayb ibn Sinan (may Allah be pleased with him). Suhayb ibn Sinan was born into a lap of luxury. He had everything he wanted. One day while out with family Suhayb was captured by Byzantine Persian soldiers. After a little while in bondage he was able to escape. He had heard of the coming of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him), and made his way to Dar al-Aqram were he accepted Islam. Suhayb was known to be from companions of al-suffa and one to take care of the poor from his wealth.
